Gate of the Dead · player guide
Daily jobs, streaks and leaderboards
Every day there's a short list of jobs to do, each paying Scrap Metal and activity. Activity opens crates and keeps your streak going. On top of that sit the leaderboards, where you can see how your gate holds up against everyone else's.

Daily jobs
Jobs open in chapter 2. You get eight a day. The first is always "Open the game", which is done the moment you arrive. The other seven are drawn from things you can already do: put down a number of zombies, hold some nights, get three stars, use a particular ability, put defenders on posts, upgrade defenders to tier 3 in a night, play the Daily Siege, collect from the yards, finish camp upgrades, upgrade something for the wall crew, or complete map missions.
Each job has a Go button that takes you to where it's done, and a Claim button once it's finished. Each pays 10 to 25 Scrap Metal and some activity. New jobs arrive each day; the screen shows how long until the next set.
Activity and crates
Activity fills today's bar, with crates at 20, 40, 60, 80 and 100. They hold Scrap Metal, steel and power-ups, with the best in the last. Activity also counts towards the week, with bigger weekly crates at 150, 300, 450, 600 and 700.
The streak
Reach 40 activity in a day and that day counts towards your streak. Each streak day pays something, on a seven-day cycle, with day seven the big one (100 Scrap Metal, steel and a Supply Drop power-up). Miss a day and the streak would normally end, but you get one streak saver a week that covers a single missed day automatically. Your longest streak goes on the Streak leaderboard.
The daily gift
From the day after you first hold a night, there's a small gift waiting each day: 10 Scrap Metal, with a power-up every fifth day.
Leaderboards

There are four boards:
- Daily Siege: your score on today's Daily Siege, the same night for everyone. Your first try each day counts. You can look back at yesterday's.
- Holdout: the most waves held, with a weekly board and an all-time board.
- Streak: the longest streak still going.
- Stars: stars earned on the night ladder.
Each board can show everyone, the players near you, or your country. Your own row is always shown.
Your name
Everyone starts with a made-up two-word name, like SteadyBadger, and you can change it any time. Don't use your real name; other players see it, along with your country and your score.
Prizes
The Daily Siege pays prizes once the day has ended everywhere: the top 1% get 300 Scrap Metal and a Supply Crate, the top 10% get 150 Scrap Metal, and everyone gets the usual Daily Siege Scrap Metal. Scores that look impossible are flagged and hidden.
